Wheat Centerpieces for Fall Weddings
Wheat instantly reminds us of fall and harvest season. That is the reason why many brides decide to use it in decorations for their weddings. Wheat centerpieces are beautiful, original and versatile, thus they make beautiful flower alternatives. Another plus point of these wheat centerpieces is that as they include dried stalks and grasses, you can make them far ahead before the wedding so you don’t have the stress of having to hurry up like with fresh flowers. Martha Stewart has a tutorial on how to make a wheat stalk centerpiece like the one below.
You can either leave the wheat bundle on the table by itself or you can put it in a container like a vase, a jar or in bottles.
Mason jars make cheap and pretty containers as always
Wheat stalks and some flowers in simple small vases make a simple yet elegant appearance. I remember seeing vases like this from IKEA for only 50 cents or 1 dollar a piece so talking about deecorating on a budget!
