Unique Wedding Idea – Wishing Tree Guest Book
Last year I attended a wedding where the bride and the groom instead of having a guest book at the entrance table for guests to sign in, set up a big beautiful wishing tree. I think this is a splendid idea and could add a very special touch to your big day. Pieces of papers are piled on the table and the guests write their wishes and advice to the newly wedded couple and hang them on the tree. You can also take pictures of all the guests and at the end of the day, make a scrapbook with these guest pictures and their wish cards.
The guests would be very impressed and entertained with this wishing tree activity. The tree also serves as a big centerpiece that makes a big impression on the guests as soon as they walk in the reception site so it is usually heavily decorated. Most wishing trees are made from manzanita branches as they are sturdy and have nice shapes. There are many ways you can decorate your wishing tree table, here are some ideas:

Silver and gold wishing tree
You can spray colored paint on the branch to make your colored wish tree. The most popular spray paint colors are silver and gold. You can use a plain gold or silver tree and do not need to decorate anything else on it as the silver and gold coat gives the wish tree a nice and sophisticated look already.

Real branch wishing tree
You can also use real living branches for your wishing tree. Cherry blossom branches make beautiful wishing trees for spring weddings while a green branch would be lovely for a summer wedding.
